Contingent Worker – ROI Support for HIM Department

About the role

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is seeking a Contingent Worker to support the Health Information Management (HIM) department by processing Release of Information (ROI) requests. This position is non‑academic, temporary, and contributes to the efficient delivery of patient information while upholding privacy standards.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, review, and fulfill ROI requests in accordance with hospital policies and legal regulations.
• Ensure accurate documentation and tracking of each request throughout its lifecycle.
• Collaborate with HIM staff to verify request validity and protect patient confidentiality.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to health information disclosure.

Required profile

• Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.
• Full COVID‑19 vaccination or an approved medical/religious exemption on file.
