Consultant to Support Integrated National Financing Frameworks (INFFs) in Fiji

About the role

The United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN DESA) is seeking a consultant to assist Fiji in developing and implementing an Integrated National Financing Framework (INFF) that aligns with its Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The consultant will provide tailored technical assistance, draw on IATF guidance, and support capacity‑building activities over a ten‑month assignment.

Key responsibilities

• Advise the Government of Fiji on designing a financing strategy that supports its national sustainable development priorities.
• Apply INFF guidance materials and relevant analytical work from development partners to the Fijian context.
• Deliver country‑specific technical assistance, including workshops, training, and mentorship in collaboration with UNDESA/FSDO.
• Support the translation of financing frameworks into investable projects and pipelines.
• Produce reports and recommendations that reflect the Addis Ababa Action Agenda, the 2025 Sevilla Commitment, and other international agreements.

Required profile

• Advanced degree in economics, public finance, development studies or a related field.
• Proven experience in financing for development, preferably with INFFs or similar frameworks.
• Familiarity with SDG implementation and the financing challenges of Small Island Developing States.
• Strong analytical and report‑writing skills.
