Concrete Inspector (Pre‑Stressed) – Remote with Travel

About the role

The Pre‑Stressed Concrete Inspector ensures quality assurance for fabrication facilities on behalf of Bureau Veritas’s clients, typically state Departments of Transportation or construction contractors. This remote‑first position requires strong technical knowledge of precast and prestressed concrete and excellent communication with project stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate with the Project Manager to define work order scope, deliverables, schedule, and budget.
• Coordinate with fabrication shops, contractors, and third parties to resolve schedule issues and ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Generate and process timesheets, billing, and inspection reports promptly, using Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat.
• Transmit information from the fabrication facility about upcoming assignments and potential work.
• Maintain positive relationships among Bureau Veritas, the fabrication facility, and the client.

Required profile

• Minimum three years in concrete construction, including at least one year in precast or prestressed concrete.
• ACI Level I Field Technician Certification (required).
• PCI Level II certification (required).
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings.
• Proficient in preparing written and electronic reports.
