Compliance Supervisor - Specialty Pharmacy

About the role

The Compliance Supervisor oversees a specialty pharmacy's adherence to federal, state and payer-specific regulations and leads efforts to maintain and achieve accreditations such as URAC and ACHC. The role manages internal and external audits, develops and enforces compliance policies, runs risk assessments and ensures processes support high-quality care for complex, high-cost specialty medications. It supports the Compliance Manager with daily management of the Financial Assistance, Revenue and Compliance teams. The position is remote.

Key responsibilities

• Accreditation and regulatory compliance: track and report accreditation metrics, oversee internal audits and self-assessments of high-risk areas (patient intake, clinical monitoring, billing, drug storage, documentation), and prepare for external audits and inspections from URAC/ACHC, FDA, DEA, state boards, payers and manufacturers
• Monitor changes in regulations, accreditation standards and payer requirements, and update policies, procedures and training
• Training and staff development: implement onboarding and ongoing training, run competency assessments, coaching, feedback and performance evaluations, and keep training materials up to date
• Leadership and operations: keep team productivity and morale high, hold regular team meetings and check-ins, align departmental goals with strategy, and submit accurate operational reports
• Financial assistance and revenue oversight: monitor timely processing of financial assistance applications, pull reporting on approvals and denials, help develop metrics, and assist with timecards and PTO requests

Required profile

• College degree or equivalent combined work experience in specialty pharmacy
• At least 3 years of pharmacy experience; hematology/oncology experience preferred
• Current, unrestricted pharmacy technician license in the home state, with willingness to obtain Florida licensure
• Travel of 0-25%
