Compliance Officer – Surveillance

About the role

Marex is seeking a Compliance Officer to provide Trade, E‑communications and Voice Surveillance review services for its US Broker Dealer and FCM business lines. The role ensures alerts are assessed accurately and regulatory requirements are met.

Key responsibilities

• Review surveillance alerts, determine true or false positives, and document decisions.
• Escalate confirmed true positives to management with clear rationale.
• Produce metrics on surveillance reviews for the Head of US Surveillance.
• Participate in testing and calibration of surveillance tools to improve detection rates.
• Provide surveillance expertise to advisory compliance teams and coordinate with business units.

Required profile

• Excellent understanding of US financial markets and regulatory frameworks (SEC, FINRA, NFA, CFTC).
• Strong data analysis and interpretation abilities.
• Organizational and time‑management skills in a fast‑paced environment.
• High integrity and ability to act as a role model for company values.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Experience using surveillance toolsets in a financial‑markets context.
