Compliance Business Analyst – State Government

About the role

Join the State of Georgia’s Insurance Department as a Compliance Business Analyst, supporting the licensing and regulatory functions that protect Georgia’s citizens. You will evaluate applications, investigate complaints, and ensure adherence to state laws, rules, and regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Review and process manufacturer, installer, and retailer broker applications and renewals for licensure compliance.
• Conduct initial application reviews within ten working days and prepare correspondence on deficiencies and licensing decisions.
• Receive, log, and investigate licensing complaints, providing technical assistance to applicants and internal staff.
• Interpret and apply licensing statutes and regulations to determine eligibility and issue administrative licenses.
• Provide guidance to licensees on rule amendments and policy changes.
• Assist in compiling data for compliance reports and audits.
• Support the development and maintenance of licensing procedures and documentation.
• Maintain accurate records, generate reports, and support research projects related to compliance.

Required profile

• Associate degree from an accredited institution plus two years of related experience, or three years of related experience.
• Demonstrated ability to interpret legal and regulatory requirements and exercise independent judgment.
• Strong written communication skills for drafting correspondence and notices.
• Proficiency in using office software to manage records and generate reports.
