Community Manager – Student Living at University Station

About the role

The Community Manager will oversee day‑to‑day operations of the University Station student‑living community, ensuring financial performance, resident satisfaction, and compliance with all relevant regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage the property budget, monitor revenues, set rent rates, and prepare monthly financial reports.
• Approve vendor invoices, manage petty cash, and ensure proper insurance documentation.
• Oversee lease enforcement, resident applications, renewals, inspections, and collections.
• Build relationships with university officials, stay informed on policies affecting student housing, and ensure community compliance.
• Analyze market trends and implement leasing strategies to meet occupancy and revenue goals.
• Respond to resident concerns promptly, supervise maintenance response, and conduct regular property inspections.
• Hire, train, and manage property staff, and maintain strong owner communication.

Required profile

• M.Ed or Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Business Management, Communications, or related field.
• 4–6 years of experience in residence life or property management.
• Knowledge of equity, inclusion, and higher‑education housing regulations (FERPA, Title IX, ADA, etc.).
• Strong written and verbal communication, problem‑solving, and crisis‑response abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with internet, word processing, spreadsheet, and database management programs.
• Experience using property‑management software such as Yardi, OneSite, Entrata.
• Ability to navigate THD (The Housing Director), PeopleSoft, MaxPanda or equivalents.

• Salary range $78,000 – $85,000 per year.
