Community Manager for Apartment Community

About the role

The Community Manager will oversee daily operations of the Station 650 apartment community in Alexandria, Virginia. Reporting to senior management, you will lead the on‑site team, ensure financial targets are met, and maintain compliance with housing regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage the property budget, analyze financial statements, and monitor revenue performance.
• Collect rent, process payments, prepare monthly financial reports, and control expenditures.
• Approve vendor invoices, verify insurance certificates, and coordinate with accounting.
• Handle lease administration, resident applications, renewals, evictions, and fee collections.
• Implement marketing and leasing strategies to achieve occupancy goals.
• Respond to resident inquiries, resolve complaints, and promote resident satisfaction.
• Conduct regular property inspections to ensure safety, cleanliness, and aesthetic standards.
• Recruit, train, and supervise property staff, including maintenance specialists.
• Maintain owner relationships through regular updates and property tours.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Business Management, Real Estate or related field.
• 4‑6 years of property management, sales, marketing, or customer service experience.
• Strong communication, conflict‑resolution, and customer‑service abilities.
• Detail‑oriented, self‑motivated, and capable of managing multiple priorities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with property management software (Entrata, Yardi, OneSite).
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel and Word.
• Experience with database and spreadsheet management.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a golf cart on‑site.
