Community Manager for Active Adult Community

About the role

The Community Manager leads daily operations of an Active Adult community, ensuring exceptional resident experiences, strong financial performance, and full regulatory compliance. This role serves as the primary liaison between ownership, residents, and the onsite team, fostering a vibrant, inclusive environment for adults aged 55+.

Key responsibilities

• Respond promptly to resident concerns, resolve disputes, and maintain high satisfaction.
• Prepare and submit accounting, financial, and operational reports accurately and on time.
• Lead ownership and investor site visits, providing performance updates and market insights.
• Oversee hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management of onsite staff.
• Manage lease enforcement, including inspections, evictions, and collection of fees.
• Drive revenue and occupancy goals through leasing team supervision, rent setting, and ancillary income strategies.
• Conduct regular community inspections, ensure safety, cleanliness, and proper maintenance of amenities.
• Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and monthly variance reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Business Management, Real Estate, or related field.
• 4‑6 years of property management, sales, marketing, and customer service experience.
• Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and customer service skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Detail‑oriented, self‑motivated, and capable of working independently and as a leader.

Required skills

• Proficiency with property management software (preferably Entrata, Yardi, and/or OneSite).
• Strong skills in Internet use, word processing, spreadsheet, and database management programs.
• Valid driver’s license for operating a golf cart on the property.
• All required state and local licenses/certifications for property management.
