Community Manager – City Place

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Community Manager for its City Place property in Pasadena, CA. The role oversees daily operations of a stabilized 214‑unit apartment community, ensuring financial performance, resident satisfaction, and compliance with all applicable regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day property operations, including budgeting, rent collection, bank deposits, and monthly financial reporting.
• Approve vendor invoices, control expenditures, and maintain petty‑cash funds while ensuring proper insurance documentation.
• Oversee lease enforcement: approve applications, renewals, discounts, conduct inspections, process evictions, and collect fees.
• Analyze market trends and implement leasing strategies to meet occupancy and revenue goals.
• Promote resident satisfaction by addressing complaints, service requests, and ensuring maintenance standards.
• Supervise property staff: hiring, training, performance management, and compliance with company policies.
• Maintain owner relationships through regular updates, property tours, and responsive communication.
• Ensure compliance with California‑specific lease documentation requirements.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years experience as a Community Manager with strong financial acumen and large‑team management.
• Proficiency with Yardi, CRM, OPs technology, and PO processing.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Real Estate, or related field preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent communication, conflict‑resolution, and customer‑service skills.
• Detail‑oriented, self‑motivated, capable of working independently and as a team leader.
