Communications Contractor for UN Youth Office

About the role

The United Nations Youth Office is seeking two Communications Contractors to strengthen its communications capacity. Working from September to December 2026 in New York, the contractors will deliver high‑quality digital content, multimedia storytelling, and strategic campaigns that raise the visibility of the Office’s youth‑focused initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Support the planning, development, and delivery of communications products across the Office’s portfolio.
• Create and manage digital content, editorial pieces, newsletters, and multimedia assets.
• Assist with the communications strategy and execution for the inaugural UN Youth Townhall in December 2026, including pre‑event promotion, on‑site support, and post‑event storytelling.
• Contribute to flagship communications products, social media engagement, and media outreach.
• Collaborate with the Chief of the Partnerships, Communications and Advocacy Section and other team members to ensure consistent messaging.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in communications, public affairs, or multimedia production.
• Demonstrated ability to produce high‑quality editorial and digital content.
• Strong organizational skills and capacity to meet tight deadlines.
• Experience working in an international or multilateral environment is a plus.
