Commercial Truck Driving Adjunct Instructor (MT&T)

About the role

The State of Georgia is seeking an Adjunct Instructor to teach Commercial Truck Driving. This part‑time, semester‑based role involves delivering theory and hands‑on training to post‑secondary students.

Key responsibilities

• Provide instruction in commercial truck driving theory and practical applications in accordance with state academic standards.
• Deliver courses in classroom and lab environments that simulate industry settings, using face‑to‑face, blended, or on‑campus formats as needed.
• Prepare standardized syllabi, assess student progress, and grade coursework promptly.
• Utilize current classroom and lab technology and maintain program certification requirements.
• Collaborate with students, staff, and other educators on instructional programs and related issues.
• Attend professional development training and be available for morning or evening hours, Monday through Thursday.

Required profile

• Certificate in Commercial Truck Driving from an accredited institution.
• Current CDL Class A Driver’s License.
• At least three years of unrestricted Class A driving experience within the past seven years.
• Clean official Motor Vehicle Record for the past seven years.
• Current DOT Medical Examiner’s Certificate.
• Preferred: ten or more years of unrestricted Class A experience, post‑secondary teaching experience, and online teaching experience.

What we offer
