Commercial Construction Project Manager

About the role

Chinburg is seeking a Commercial Construction Project Manager to partner with a Site Supervisor and deliver commercial construction and historic mill adaptive‑reuse projects. The role oversees budgets, schedules, contracts, and client relationships to ensure safe, on‑time, high‑quality delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Support pre‑construction activities, prepare budgets, conceptual pricing, schedules and coordinate consultants.
• Manage subcontracts, change orders, purchase orders and track project schedules using Smartsheet.
• Coordinate municipal inspections, permit applications and lead weekly site meetings.
• Administer financial aspects of contracts, manage cash flow, requisitions, payments and lien releases.
• Maintain client, architect, consultant and subcontractor relationships and represent Chinburg in owner meetings.
• Oversee project closeout, including punch lists, owner training, warranties and final documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, construction management, engineering or related field.
• 5‑7 years of commercial project management experience on $10M+ projects.
• Experience with adaptive reuse of historic mill buildings or ground‑up multifamily construction.
• Strong communication, time‑management and problem‑solving abilities.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and consistent attendance.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Experience using Smartsheet or similar project‑management and scheduling software.
