CNC Programmer - Precision Gears

About the role

Highway Machine Co., a family-owned manufacturer founded in 1921, is hiring an experienced CNC Programmer for its Princeton, Indiana team. The role covers programming, setting up and operating CNC machines that make large, precision gears and components, working with experienced machinists, engineers and quality staff on complex parts rather than repetitive high-volume production.

Key responsibilities

• Create, edit and optimize CNC programs
• Set up and operate CNC machinery
• Read blueprints and engineering drawings
• Select tooling and set appropriate speeds and feeds
• Inspect parts and troubleshoot machining issues
• Work with Engineering and Quality to resolve production issues
• Help improve machining processes and efficiency

Required profile

• CNC programming and machining experience
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Commitment to quality work
• Authorization to work in the United States

Preferred, but not required

• CAD/CAM experience
• CMM experience
• Experience machining large or complex components
• Experience in a precision manufacturing environment
