Cloud Infrastructure Associate Director

About the role

Protiviti is hiring a Technology Consulting Associate Director for its Infrastructure, Cloud and Security Engineering team, based in New York City (also listed as Washington DC - McLean). The Associate Director leads client relationships and guides them through the completion of engagements, while partnering with strategic clients to advise on and implement technical solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Strengthen client relationships and provide seamless guidance in completing engagements
• Advise and implement technical solutions for strategic clients' most pressing challenges
• Help identify new businesses and build lasting client and community relationships as an ambassador for Protiviti
• Mentor teams and oversee the successful completion of project work plans
• Translate business requirements, compliance controls and business continuity needs into technical configurations and solutions
• Pursue business development and communicate risks and challenges to client executives

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Networking or a relevant field, or equivalent experience delivering technology or consulting solutions
• 9+ years in professional services, managed services or a hands-on pre-sales role
• Leadership and direct supervisory experience, including performance appraisals, mentoring and coaching
• Ability to document undocumented systems and create architecture diagrams
• Excellent verbal and written English

Required skills

• Hands-on design, deployment and administration of Windows Server and Linux systems
• Familiarity with Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure and other IaaS providers preferred
• Enterprise networking, storage (SAN, NAS, DAS) and server hardware (Dell, HPE, Cisco, SuperMicro) knowledge strongly preferred
• Hypervisor platforms (VMware vSphere/ESXi, Hyper-V, Nutanix AHV) and scripting (PowerShell, Python, Bash) strongly preferred
• Tools such as RMM, patch/vulnerability management, Kafka, SIEMs and Splunk; backup, replication and continuity solutions
• PCI-DSS, CMMC, NIST 800-53 compliance experience and Agile/Waterfall project management
