Clinical/Medical Lab Scientist or Technician – Chemistry (PRN)

About the role

The position involves receiving and preparing specimens, performing chemistry laboratory tests, and providing accurate data to support diagnosis and treatment. The role requires adherence to quality control, equipment maintenance, and patient confidentiality in a fast‑paced clinical environment.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and prepare specimens according to standard protocols.
• Perform routine and specialized chemistry laboratory tests and calculations for diagnosis and treatment.
• Conduct quality control, instrument maintenance, and troubleshooting to ensure accurate results.
• Calibrate, monitor, and maintain analytical equipment.
• Perform phlebotomy procedures when required and maintain patient confidentiality.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in medical technology, clinical laboratory science or related science (or associate degree with military MLT certificate).
• Current Clinical Lab Scientist Generalist license (or obtain within 180 days of hire).
• ASCP, AMT or AAB certification as Medical Laboratory Scientist/Technician within 90 days of hire.
• No prior work experience required; hospital or clinical lab experience preferred.
• Ability to use Windows‑based applications for data entry and retrieval.
