About the role

The Clinical Technician supports orthopedic surgery patients on Cleveland Clinic's Main Campus, working under RN supervision across day, evening, night and weekend shifts. The role involves direct patient care, monitoring, and maintaining a clean clinical environment.

Key responsibilities

Take vital signs, weight, and assist with personal care.
Perform point‑of‑care testing, dressing changes, and apply external monitoring devices.
Remove urinary Foley catheters and report any abnormal findings to the RN.
Help keep patient rooms clean and orderly.

Required profile

High School Diploma or GED.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA or Red Cross) obtained upon hire.
One year of recent full‑time patient care experience, or equivalent nursing student clinical rotation, military medical experience, or additional relevant training.
Ability to perform medium physical work, including lifting and moving patients.

Required skills

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Point‑of‑care testing proficiency.
Experience with dressing changes and external monitoring devices.
