Clinical Research Coordinator I

About the role

The Clinical Translational Research Site at the University of Miami is seeking a full‑time Clinical Research Coordinator I. This entry‑level position supports simple clinical research protocols, data management, and participant coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Perform chart reviews and pre‑screen participants for eligibility, maintaining enrollment procedures per protocol.
• Coordinate routine study activities, including data collection, scheduling appointments, and managing study timelines.
• Collect, enter, verify, and maintain study data in approved systems, completing source documents and CRFs/eCRFs.
• Assist with IRB submissions, amendments, continuing reviews, and regulatory documentation under supervision.
• Monitor adverse events, protocol deviations, and ensure compliance with all regulatory bodies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and at least one year of related experience.
• Strong attention to detail, ability to prioritize under pressure, and discretion with confidential information.
• Willingness to work evenings, nights, or weekends as needed.
• Commitment to university core values and ability to work independently or collaboratively.

Required skills

• Data management and entry in clinical research systems.
• Chart review and participant eligibility screening.
• Regulatory compliance, including IRB processes and documentation.
• Basic operation of clinical research equipment and troubleshooting.
