Clinical Pharmacist – Inpatient (7on/7off)

About the role

The Inpatient Pharmacist supports general pharmacy operations at Cleveland Clinic Main Campus, primarily working within the central inpatient pharmacy. This full‑time role involves medication distribution, order verification, and contributing to a safe, patient‑centered medication workflow in a large, complex hospital environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide safe, efficient, evidence‑based medication services and verify orders according to state and federal regulations.
• Document services accurately and timely, and actively contribute to medication safety initiatives.
• Ensure pharmacy operations comply with national accreditation standards.
• Direct staff to maintain professional relationships and high‑quality care.
• Educate and train students, residents, other caregivers, and patients.

Required profile

• PharmD or Bachelor’s of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited college.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Pharmacist (RPh) or eligibility for reciprocation within 90 days of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Preferred: Board certification, completion of a PGY1 residency, and PGY2 residency or relevant experience for specialized practice areas.
