Clinical Laboratory Scientist – New Graduate

About the role

The Clinical Laboratory Scientist will receive and prepare patient specimens, perform a variety of laboratory tests, conduct quality control, calibrate and maintain analytical equipment, and may perform phlebotomy while safeguarding patient confidentiality.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine and specialized laboratory testing independently within established time frames.
• Execute quality control procedures, instrument maintenance, and troubleshooting, documenting corrective actions as needed.
• Adhere to regulatory and accreditation standards, safety guidelines, and proficiency testing protocols.
• Participate in performance‑improvement initiatives, manage inventory of supplies and reagents, and support cost‑reduction efforts.
• Provide patient‑focused service, respecting privacy and adapting communication to diverse patient populations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in medical technology, clinical laboratory science, or a related scientific field (transcript required).
• Current state license (if applicable) and ASCP, AMT, or AAB certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist/Technologist.
• Strong computer proficiency for data entry and retrieval, effective verbal and written communication, and solid analytical/problem‑solving abilities.
