Clinical Laboratory Scientist / Medical Lab Tech – St. Mary

About the role

The Clinical/Medical Laboratory Scientist or Medical Lab Tech will receive and prepare specimens, perform laboratory testing, and support diagnosis and treatment in the St. Mary clinical lab.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and prepare specimens according to standard protocols.
• Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests, calculations and provide data for diagnosis and treatment.
• Conduct quality control, instrument maintenance, troubleshooting and calibrations.
• Perform phlebotomy procedures as needed and ensure patient confidentiality.
• Maintain compliance with CLIA, CAP, OIG and safety regulations.

Required profile

• Proficient computer skills for data entry and retrieval of patient information, including Windows applications.
• Effective verbal and written communication with patients and healthcare staff.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and judgement abilities.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a patient‑care environment.
