Clinical Customer Care Staff Pharmacist

About the role

Amazon Pharmacy is seeking a Clinical Customer Care Staff Pharmacist to help customers obtain the right medications quickly and safely. You will work within a fast‑growing online pharmacy environment, supporting clinical decisions, automation, and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain comprehensive customer medication profiles, including medical history, lab data, and OTC products.
• Review physician orders for drug appropriateness, dosage, interactions, and route, and recommend therapy changes.
• Operate, troubleshoot, and optimize pharmacy automation and automated dispensing systems.
• Collaborate with pharmacy technicians and engineering teams to resolve automation issues and improve workflows.
• Dispense controlled substances in strict compliance with DEA and state regulations, maintaining accurate records.
• Provide clinical support by answering medication questions, documenting communications, and investigating medication errors.
• Implement policies and procedures aligned with state and federal laws, and maintain required regulatory documentation.
• Participate in continuous‑improvement initiatives and support pharmacy operations across departments.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Science or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD).
• Active, unrestricted pharmacy license in the state of employment.
• Proficiency with basic computer functions and pharmacy systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
