Clinical Assistant / Associate Professor – Program Director, MS Performance Nutrition

About the role

The University of South Carolina Arnold School of Public Health seeks a Clinical Assistant or Clinical Associate Professor to serve as Program Director for the newly accredited Master of Science in Performance Nutrition and Dietetics (MS/PND). This full‑time, 12‑month faculty position will lead the program from its launch in Fall 2025, overseeing academic leadership, curriculum, and stakeholder engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Direct all aspects of the MS/PND program, including accreditation maintenance and curriculum evaluation.
• Recruit, select, and mentor additional faculty and preceptors.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to graduate students.
• Chair program committees and oversee learning assessment measures.
• Develop and sustain relationships with community stakeholders and advisory board members.
• Participate in scholarship, research, and service activities within the department.

Required profile

• Doctorate or terminal degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated experience in performance nutrition and dietetics education.
• Proven record of academic leadership and program administration.
• Strong commitment to advancing formal education in performance nutrition.
• Ability to serve as an ambassador for the dietetics profession.
