Clinic Nurse (RN) – Outpatient OBGYN

About the role

The Clinic Nurse (RN) delivers professional nursing care to patients in an outpatient OBGYN setting. You will assess, educate, and triage patients, ensuring a safe and supportive experience.

Key responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments, direct and indirect patient care, and health education.
• Conduct phone triage and evaluate symptom urgency to guide next steps.
• Administer medications, collect specimens, and perform nursing procedures within scope of practice.
• Document all nursing services accurately.
• Collaborate with the health‑care team to maintain quality care and address ethical or legal issues.
• Utilize evidence‑based nursing processes and comply with California Nurse Practice Act regulations.

Required profile

• Successful completion of an accredited nursing program.
• Current California RN license in good standing.
• Current BLS certification.
• One year of clinical nursing experience preferred, especially in ambulatory care.
• Advanced Fetal Heart Monitoring (AFHM) certification as required by management.

Required skills

• Basic keyboarding skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Knowledge of registration and order entry systems.
• Familiarity with patient scheduling, insurance verification, and authorization processes.
