Classroom Support Floater – Childcare Teacher

About the role

Discovery Kidzone is seeking a caring, flexible Classroom Specialist (Floater) to support various classrooms in Bozeman. This role offers variety, teamwork, and the chance to work with different age groups while gaining valuable early‑childhood experience.

Key responsibilities

• Support different classrooms and age groups as needed
• Assist with teacher breaks, classroom transitions, and schedule coverage
• Help with daily routines including meals, naps, diapering, and toileting
• Engage children through stories, music, games, crafts, movement, and hands‑on activities
• Encourage positive social interactions and help children resolve conflicts
• Support classroom curriculum and learning activities
• Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play, meals, naps, and transitions
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe classroom environments
• Collaborate closely with teachers and center leadership to meet classroom needs
• Communicate professionally with coworkers and families

Required profile

• At least 16 years old
• Caring, patient, dependable, and flexible
• Comfortable working with different age groups
• Positive and able to adapt to changing classroom needs
• Strong communicator and team player
• Organized and attentive to children’s needs
• Interest in early childhood education
• Willing to complete required Montana licensing and training requirements
• CPR and First Aid certified (or willing to obtain within 30 days of hire)
