Civil Engineer – Registered Professional Engineer (MA)

About the role

The Civil Engineer (Registered Professional Engineer – MA) supports a diverse portfolio of civil and environmental engineering projects. This position contributes to planning, design, permitting, and execution of site development and infrastructure projects while collaborating across disciplines and engaging directly with clients and regulators.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support civil engineering site design and analysis for site development, infrastructure, and environmental projects.
• Prepare and review site plans, specifications, technical design reports, and permitting applications.
• Design stormwater management systems, including erosion and sediment controls, site grading, and supporting calculations.
• Support permitting efforts with local, state, and federal agencies such as MassDEP.
• Coordinate with internal teams, clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies; conduct site visits and field inspections.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related discipline.
• Massachusetts Registered Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain reciprocity.
• 10+ years of civil engineering experience, preferably in site design, stormwater management, and permitting.

Required skills

• Proficiency with AutoCAD.
• Proficiency with Civil 3D.
• Experience using Carlson, HydroCAD, and AutoTurn.
