Childcare Teacher's Assistant

About the role

The Childcare Teacher's Assistant supports safe care and education for children from 6 weeks to kindergarten at Citizens Clubhouse, a on‑site childcare center serving hospital staff.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor children’s safety at all times, enforcing KDHE regulations.
• Mentor and coach teachers, provide constructive feedback and resolve disputes.
• Organize classroom events, tours, and teacher interviews.
• Maintain accurate records of children’s paperwork, immunizations, and parent billing via HiMama.
• Handle teacher documentation, trainings, and fulfill director and managerial duties as needed.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree in Early Childhood Development or Education preferred.
• At least 3 months experience in a licensed child‑care setting serving infants to school‑age children.
• Self‑starter, team player with a positive attitude and ability to follow state regulations.
• Knowledge of infant development and behavior management.
