Child Welfare Services Technician 1 (CRRU)

About the role

The Georgia Department of Human Services, Division of Family & Children Services, is seeking a Child Welfare Services Technician 1 to provide paraprofessional social services to clients and families in Eatonton, Putnam County. Under direct supervision, you will assist with client intakes, resource referrals, and coordination of services.

Key responsibilities

• Assist clients in locating and utilizing community resources such as legal, medical, and financial assistance.
• Conduct or support client intake interviews and prepare intake reports and history records.
• Maintain contact with other social service agencies and healthcare providers to monitor client progress.
• Organize delivery of specific social services within the community.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least one year of job‑related experience in a social‑services setting.
• Preference for prior experience in child welfare.

Required skills

• Ability to gather and document client information accurately.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with clients, families, and partner agencies.
