Child Welfare Services Case Manager Supervisor

About the role

The Georgia Department of Human Services is seeking a Child Welfare Services Case Manager Supervisor to lead a social services unit in Savannah. This supervisory position reports to the Child Welfare Administrator and focuses on protecting vulnerable children through investigative and case management services.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and plan the work of assigned staff, setting unit goals and regulating workloads.
• Conduct investigations, home‑visit evaluations, and coordinate out‑of‑home placements and in‑home interventions.
• Develop case plans, monitor services, and ensure timely follow‑up actions for at‑risk clients.
• Maintain documentation, prepare reports, and make safety assessments according to state and federal regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree and at least three years of case management experience, or one year in a lower‑level Child Welfare Services Case Manager role.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and ability to travel statewide for work‑related duties.
• Ability to pass agency testing, background checks, and drug screening.
