Child Welfare Services Case Manager Supervisor

About the role

The Georgia Department of Human Services is seeking a Child Welfare Services Case Manager Supervisor to lead a team of case managers in Hall County. This permanent, onsite position reports to a Child Welfare Services Administrator and focuses on protecting vulnerable children and families.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and plan the work of assigned staff, serving as a subject‑matter expert.
• Conduct home‑visit evaluations, collect evidence, interview witnesses, and prepare reports in compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Coordinate and monitor children in out‑of‑home placements, in‑home interventions, and comprehensive service tracking.
• Develop case plans that leverage community resources and initiate legal processes for guardianship, protective services, placement, or adoption.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree and three years of case‑management experience, or one year at the lower‑level Child Welfare Services Case Manager 3 position.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and acceptable driving record for statewide travel.
• Ability to make immediate safety assessments and collaborate with the legal system.

Required skills

• Case management competencies including assessments, home evaluations, and staffing.
• Knowledge of child welfare regulations, protective services procedures, and foster care placement resources.
