About the role

The Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) is a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for shaping and executing human capital strategy across all affiliated companies. This senior role oversees recruitment, employee relations, compliance, benefits, and HR technology to ensure mission‑aligned, people‑centered practices.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement enterprise‑wide human resources strategies, policies, and systems.
• Oversee the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, hiring, onboarding, evaluation, retention, and separation.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws such as EEOC, FLSA, FMLA, and ADA.
• Lead administration and evaluation of employee benefits and wellness programs.
• Guide implementation and maintenance of HRIS systems and digital personnel files.
• Build performance‑management frameworks, including evaluations, performance improvement plans, coaching, and documentation.
• Maintain and update employee handbooks, HR policies, and procedures in line with current laws and best practices.
• Partner with leadership on organizational design, staffing strategy, and workforce planning.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for HR audits, grievances, and employee complaints.
• Oversee workplace investigations, corrective actions, and terminations ensuring due process and fairness.
• Track HR metrics and generate reports for leadership and board‑level stakeholders.
• Advise the executive team on employee‑related risk management and compliance strategies.
