Certified Surgical Technologist

About the role

Logan Health Medical Center in Kalispell, Montana is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist to join its surgical team. The position is a full‑time day shift (10‑hour) role that welcomes new graduates and provides comprehensive training and support.

Key responsibilities

• Arrange and set up surgical instruments and equipment, ensuring a sterile field and proper aseptic technique.
• Anticipate the surgeon’s needs, pass instruments, sutures, and supplies during procedures, and assist with specimen handling.
• Participate in surgical counts, maintain equipment, and report any faulty items to sterile processing.
• Assist with patient transfer, post‑operative care, and application of dressings.

Required profile

• Certification through the Association of Surgical Technologists (preferred) or at least two years of experience as a Surgical Technologist.
• Current AHA BLS certification (or obtain within two months of hire).
• Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Commitment to patient safety, confidentiality, and professional conduct.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of sterile technique and aseptic procedures.
• Ability to operate and evaluate surgical instrumentation and equipment.
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
