Certified Nursing Assistant – Medical Surgical (UTower) – Full Time

About the role

The University of Miami Hospital & Clinics is seeking a full‑time Certified Nursing Assistant to join the Medical‑Surgical unit in UTower. You will provide essential bedside care under the supervision of registered nurses, supporting both patients and clinical staff in a fast‑paced academic environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist patients with daily activities such as dressing, bathing, and eating.
• Collect non‑invasive body fluid specimens and record vital signs.
• Support physicians and nursing staff during procedures and document patient interactions.
• Maintain a clean and safe patient environment in accordance with hospital policies.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• 0–1 year of relevant patient‑care experience.

Required skills

• Patient care and hygiene assistance.
• Vital signs measurement and non‑invasive specimen collection.
• Ability to assist with clinical procedures and documentation.
