Certified Nursing Assistant 1 (U) Oncology – Full-Time

About the role

The University of Miami Health System is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join its Oncology unit on a full‑time basis. You will provide direct patient care, support nursing staff, and help maintain a safe, comfortable environment for patients and their families.

Key responsibilities

• Assist patients with personal hygiene tasks such as bathing, shaving, and toileting.
• Support meals, feeding, ambulation, turning, and positioning of patients.
• Administer non‑sterile dressings, enemas, douches, therapeutic baths, and apply restraints when required.
• Collect specimens, perform urine testing, and provide post‑mortem care.
• Respond promptly to call lights and patient requests.
• Measure and record intake, output, and vital signs.
• Transport patients and equipment safely throughout the unit.
• Report patient conditions to the assigned nurse and adhere to unit policies.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid State of Florida Certified Nursing Assistant certification.
• 0–1 year of relevant experience (new graduates are welcome).
• Ability to work evenings, nights, weekends, and 12‑hour shifts as needed.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office or similar computer software.
