Certified Medical Assistant – Spring Lake Primary Care Clinic

About the role

This position provides individualized medical care to assigned patients in person, electronically, and via telephone under the supervision of a licensed health‑care provider. It assists in delivering health‑care services to patients of diverse backgrounds and ages while maintaining positive relationships with patients and their families.

Key responsibilities

• Support the patient and provider throughout the visit.
• Prepare the patient and provider for the appointment.
• Answer patient questions before they leave and ready the exam room for the next patient.
• Communicate effectively with patients over the phone and in person.
• Complete documentation, including patient registration when needed.
• Maintain clinical knowledge and credentials through ongoing professional development.
• Adapt interactions to diverse patient populations and follow privacy protocols.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required profile

• High school diploma; completion of a formal medical assistant training program preferred.
• Experience handling confidential information and working in a fast‑paced environment with minimal supervision.
• Certified Medical Assistant credential and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Demonstrated clinical knowledge and proficiency with computers, software, and web‑based applications.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to interact professionally with patients and staff.
