Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant – Multi‑Specialty Anesthesiology

About the role

The Cleveland Clinic Health System is seeking experienced Certified Anesthesiologist Assistants to join its Multi‑Specialty Anesthesiology Division on the Main Campus. You will work alongside anesthesiologists, CRNAs, and other clinicians to provide high‑acuity surgical care.

Key responsibilities

• Obtain comprehensive patient histories, perform relevant physical exam elements, and discuss anesthetic plans with supervising anesthesiologists.
• Administer anesthesia, monitor patients’ physiological responses, and manage emergency measures when complications arise.
• Pre‑test and calibrate anesthesia delivery systems, and administer blood products and supportive fluids as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution.
• Certification by the National Commission for Certification of Anesthesiologist Assistants with a current, valid certificate.
• 3–5 years of experience as an Anesthesiologist Assistant in a hospital inpatient setting, preferably with high‑acuity cases.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
