CDL‑A Linehaul Truck Driver – Home Daily

About the role

R+L Carriers is seeking experienced CDL‑A drivers for a 3rd‑shift, full‑time linehaul position based at the Piedmont, SC service center. Drivers will pull 53‑foot van trailers or double trailers between service centers and turn‑point locations while returning home each night.

Key responsibilities

• Operate 53‑foot van trailers or double trailers on scheduled linehaul routes.
• Maintain safe driving practices and adhere to all DOT regulations.
• Complete pre‑trip inspections and report any equipment issues.
• Ensure on‑time delivery of freight between service centers.
• Return home daily after each shift.

Required profile

• Valid CDL Class A license.
• At least 1 year of verifiable Class A driving experience within the past 3 years.
• Clean driving record (no serious violations, ≤3 moving violations in 3 years).
• Age 23 (or 21 if FMCSA transition criteria are met).
• Ability to pass a DOT physical, drug screen, and road test.
• Physical ability to bend, lift, and stoop without difficulty.
• Dependable and punctual.

Required skills

• CDL Class A operation.
• Operating 53‑foot van trailers.
• Operating double trailers.
• Haz‑mat endorsement (preferred).
• Tanker endorsement (preferred).
• Doubles/Triples endorsement (preferred).
