CDL‑A City Pickup & Delivery Driver

About the role

R+L Carriers is seeking a CDL‑A City Pickup & Delivery Driver for its West Salem, WI service center. The role involves daily city deliveries and pickups, returning to the terminal each day, with multiple stops and direct customer interaction.

Key responsibilities

• Perform city delivery and pickup of freight with multiple stops each workday.
• Operate scanning equipment and interact directly with customers during deliveries.
• Complete liftgate deliveries using an electric pallet jack when required.

Required profile

• Valid CDL Class A with at least 1 year of recent driving experience.
• Clean driving record (no serious violations and ≤ 3 moving violations in the past 3 years).
• Age 23 (or 21 if meeting FMCSA transition criteria) and able to pass DOT physical, drug screen, and road test.
• Physically able to bend, lift, and stoop without difficulty.

Required skills

• Operation of scanning equipment.
• Use of an electric pallet jack for liftgate deliveries.
