CDL A City P&D Driver – Local Delivery (Abilene)

About the role

R+L Carriers is seeking CDL A City P&D Drivers for its Abilene, TX service center. Drivers will perform local freight delivery and pickup, returning to the terminal each day.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver and pick up freight at multiple city stops, using scanning equipment.
• Operate an electric pallet jack for lift‑gate deliveries when required.
• Interact directly with customers and ensure accurate paperwork.

Required profile

• Valid CDL Class A with at least 1 year of verifiable Class A driving experience within the past 3 years.
• Clean driving record (no serious violations, no more than 3 moving violations in 3 years) and age 23 (or 21 with FMCSA military transition).
• Ability to pass DOT physical, drug screen, and road test; physically able to bend, lift, and stoop.
