CCS Child Care Consultant (North East Region)

About the role

The Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning seeks a CCS Child Care Consultant to support child‑care facilities across the North East Region. This field‑based position involves traveling throughout Banks, Clarke, Elbert, Franklin, Hart, Madison, Oconee and Oglethorpe counties to ensure compliance with state licensing rules and improve service quality.

Key responsibilities

• Review and monitor child‑care facilities for compliance with state licensing regulations and quality indicators.
• Provide technical assistance, consultation, and professional development to licensees, applicants, and trainers.
• Travel statewide using a personal vehicle to attend scheduled appointments and meet reporting deadlines.
• Maintain reliable attendance and timely submission of required reports.
• Collaborate with the Department’s programs, including Georgia’s Pre‑K, CAPS, and federal nutrition initiatives.

Required profile

• Residency in or adjacent to the assigned territory.
• Ability to travel regularly across the designated counties.
• Strong understanding of child‑care licensing rules and quality standards.
• Commitment to consistent attendance and meeting deadlines.
