Care Team Representative - Afternoon & Evening Shifts

About the role

Sedgwick is hiring an entry-level Care Team Representative for afternoon and evening shifts, with start times available after 12:00 PM CST. Training runs Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM CST. The role lives near one of the Centers of Excellence (Orlando, Southfield, Irving, Dublin, New Albany, Dubuque, Cedar Rapids or Coralville) and offers a flexible hybrid work style.

Key responsibilities

• Provide empathetic service to callers about claims across multiple lines of business, including expediting the claims process and taking detailed claim notes.
• Resolve issues with a one-call, one-person response and direct calls to the right escalation path.
• Act as the main point of contact for callers from multiple client accounts in a shared services environment.
• Follow specifications when answering questions and solving problems about claims applications and servicing.
• Perform claim intake and full-service customer support within regulatory, company and client expectations.
• Tell customers what documentation is needed, the time frames, payment information and claim status, and record call details professionally.
• Enter claim information accurately into the system and escalate to a Service Center Specialist or management when needed.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• One year of customer service experience or an equivalent mix of education and experience; inbound call center experience preferred.
• Attendance during scheduled work hours is required.

Required skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• PC literate, including Microsoft Office and Windows.
• Meets minimum typing requirements.
• Multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment and working with several clients and systems at once.
