Client Service Representative - Entry Level, Language Services

About the role

Translation Excellence is a global provider of language services serving corporations, governments, non-profits, educational institutions and individuals. It is looking for motivated, customer-focused people to join as Client Service Representatives, acting as the main point of contact for clients and supporting translation and language projects.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the main point of contact for clients, giving prompt, professional help by phone, email and other channels
• Build client relationships and resolve issues so customers are satisfied
• Manage and prioritize inquiries, requests and complaints, keeping accurate records of interactions
• Work with project managers and linguists to coordinate translation projects and deliver accurate project briefs
• Monitor project progress, flag issues and keep clients informed of status updates
• Help clients use online platforms and tools, and upsell and cross-sell additional language services
• Stay current on industry trends and contribute ideas to improve client service

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g. linguistics, communications, international relations) preferred but not mandatory
• Proven experience in a customer service or client-facing role, preferably in language services
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English and at least one other language
• Strong interpersonal, problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills
• Ability to multitask, prioritize and handle occasional evening or weekend availability
• Knowledge of translation and localization processes is a plus
