Cardiopulmonary Support Technician

About the role

The Cardiopulmonary Support Technician transports patients safely, prepares equipment, and assists with pulmonary and cardiovascular testing. The role supports physicians and ensures a smooth workflow within the department.

Key responsibilities

• Perform pulmonary and cardiovascular tests, monitor heart rates and vital signs, and prepare patients for procedures.
• Operate and maintain sophisticated equipment such as electrocardiograms, echocardiograms, and sonograms.
• Sanitize and set up equipment, manage inventory, and ensure proper function before each use.
• Assist physicians and surgeons during procedures, monitor equipment, and gather patient medical histories.
• Schedule appointments, explain procedures to patients, and adhere to university policies.

Required profile

• Associate degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
• Learning agility, teamwork, and strong written and verbal communication.

Required skills

• Operation of electrocardiogram (ECG) equipment.
• Use of echocardiogram and sonogram devices.
• Regulating devices and medical gas transport/handling.
• Equipment setup, sanitation, and inventory management.
