Buyer Analyst

About the role

Sandvik’s Rotary Drilling Division in Alachua, Florida is seeking a dynamic Buyer Analyst to support production and aftermarket operations. The role focuses on purchasing components, expediting orders, and managing supplier relationships within a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Purchase components based on requirements within MRP.
• Expedite, de‑expedite, and cancel parts according to production needs.
• Procure Maintenance, Repair, and Operation (MRO) items via hand requisitions or approved internet sites.
• Resolve invoice disputes with suppliers.
• Handle non‑conforming parts by coordinating returns, evaluation, rework, or replacement.
• Gather supplier information to understand supply constraints.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in business management or related field with at least 3 years of purchasing experience, OR an Associate’s degree with 4 + years, OR equivalent experience with 5 + years.
• Ability to follow instructions, work independently, and meet quality and timeliness standards.
• Strong interpersonal, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Fluent written and oral English; Spanish is a plus.

Required skills

• Knowledge of ERP and MRP systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.
• Data‑entry speed of at least 35 wpm and 10‑key entry.
