Business Technical Analyst – Enrollment Management

About the role

The Business Technical Analyst bridges Enrollment Management, Student Affairs, and IT to analyze business needs, improve processes, and implement technology solutions that support student recruitment, admissions, enrollment, and success at East Texas A&M University.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze business processes and system functionality to identify automation and efficiency opportunities.
• Gather, document, and translate requirements into functional and technical specifications.
• Support implementation, configuration, and optimization of CRM, SIS, admissions and student success platforms.
• Validate data across systems, address data quality issues, and assist with data migration and governance.
• Develop reporting, dashboards, and analytical solutions; maintain integrations, APIs, and automated data feeds.
• Create test plans, conduct user‑acceptance testing, and participate in system upgrades and vendor projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science or related STEM field.
• At least four months of experience as a technical analyst, data analyst or programmer/DBA; one year preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to translate technical concepts for non‑technical stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently and handle confidential information with professionalism.

Required skills

• SQL, PL/SQL, Apex, R, Python.
• Oracle, Banner SIS databases.
• Reporting tools: WebFocus, Salesforce, Element451, Power BI, Tableau.
• Data integration: Constituo, UC4, SFTP, API integrations.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel; familiarity with Git is a plus.
