About the role
The End‑User Support Specialist – EMS provides day‑to‑day technical assistance to the university community, ensuring smooth operation of workstations, software, and the campus scheduling system. The role also supports event‑related technology needs.
Key responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues on computing workstations.
- Install, configure, and update software applications.
- Apply operating system updates, patches, and security fixes.
- Maintain and improve integrations within the university scheduling software.
- Identify and streamline workflow processes for end‑users.
- Provide on‑site technical support for university events requiring audiovisual or IT assistance.
Required profile
- Experience in a higher‑education or similar environment providing desktop support.
- Strong customer‑service orientation and ability to communicate technical concepts clearly.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple support tickets.
Required skills
- Workstation troubleshooting.
- Software installation and configuration.
