Business Systems Analyst III

About the role

Zurich Insurance in Schaumburg is looking for a Business Systems Analyst III to act as a key liaison between business stakeholders and IT, focusing on property and casualty pricing applications. The role involves delivering solutions for the Morpheus and ZLAPS platforms while supporting underwriting and actuarial needs.

Key responsibilities

• Lead requirement‑gathering activities with business owners, documenting interviews, facilitated sessions and use‑case models.
• Analyze business requirements, assess system impact, and provide input to development teams to ensure alignment.
• Create process models, use cases, class and sequence diagrams to validate design completeness.
• Conduct cost/benefit analyses, risk assessments and scope definitions for proposed changes.
• Support production by analyzing application logs, performing root‑cause analysis and delivering timely fixes.
• Collaborate with actuaries to configure proprietary pricing models and recommend technology solutions using Microsoft and Azure technologies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field.
• 8+ years experience with commercial property and casualty insurance products, pricing models and business processes.
• 8+ years experience with Microsoft and Azure technologies.
• 2+ years experience with Raven DB or other No‑SQL databases, requirement gathering and production support.
• Willingness to travel up to 5% within the U.S.
