Business Development Manager – IOA Precision Sensors

About the role

Excelitas Technologies is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive revenue and design wins for its IOA Precision Sensors business in the Americas, focusing on photon‑sensing devices for defense applications such as target acquisition, guidance and laser warning.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the technical liaison for photon‑sensing markets, managing key accounts and developing deep engineering‑to‑senior‑level relationships.
• Grow sales territory to meet assigned revenue, bookings and new‑product‑introduction (design‑win) targets.
• Lead negotiations, close deals, and contribute to contractual agreements while managing the prospect pipeline.
• Develop and execute detailed account growth plans and support customers to ensure satisfaction.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of sales experience with proven OEM sales success, preferably in defense or aerospace.
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical/optical engineering or physics (preferred).
• Strong customer orientation, ability to manage complex sales processes and influence cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

• Photon detection and photon‑sensing technology knowledge.
• Understanding of OEM sales cycles and defense‑industry requirements.
• Technical background in electrical/optical engineering or physics.

What we offer

• Competitive salary range $110,000 – $150,000 per year, visible to candidates.
