Box Truck Driver

About the role

The Box Truck Driver safely operates a box truck on local and regional routes, delivering goods directly to customers’ homes or businesses. The role includes loading, unloading, and providing professional service ranging from simple drop‑off to white‑glove delivery with assembly.

Key responsibilities

• Operate a box truck safely following traffic laws, DOT regulations and company policies.
• Load, unload and secure cargo up to 75 lb, ensuring no shifting or damage during transit.
• Perform pre‑trip and post‑trip vehicle inspections and report any maintenance or safety issues.
• Complete delivery documentation, receipts and inspection forms accurately.
• Communicate with customers, dispatchers and warehouse staff about delivery status, delays or route changes.
• Verify orders, freight condition and delivery quantities before finalizing each stop.
• Maintain a clean and organized vehicle and assist with warehouse or material‑handling tasks as needed.

Required profile

• Valid driver’s license (REAL ID) with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to read maps, use navigation tools and maintain geographic awareness.
• Strong attention to detail, safety‑focused work practices and ability to work independently.
• English reading, writing and speaking proficiency.
• Pass federal background checks for access to military and government facilities.
• Physical ability to lift and move items up to 75 lb unassisted.
