Birthday Party Staff

About the role

Join the Oak Square YMCA team to plan and facilitate birthday parties for children aged 3 and up. You will create a fun, safe environment and ensure each celebration runs smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Gather party details in advance (age, gender, requested activities) and prepare appropriate games.
• Set up the party room: arrange tables and chairs, inflate balloons, hang banners and streamers.
• Greet guests cheerfully, lead activities in the gym, pool or outdoor area, and assist during cake and present moments.
• Clean up after the party, returning furniture and toys to their proper places.

Required profile

• Enjoy working with children and families in YMCA settings (pool, gymnasium, outdoor areas).
• Commit to high parent and child satisfaction for every party.
• Able to lift at least 15 lb and work weekends.
• Excellent communication, upbeat, energetic, detail‑oriented and strong work ethic.
• Capable of managing work independently after training.
